This outdoor marine aquarium was fashioned to resemble a shark moat surrounding a medieval castle complete with a working drawbridge. The moat has several waterfalls and a stream, which feed into a grotto stocked with lobster.

To reach the main entrance of the castle, visitors must cross the moat on one of two bridges where they are usually greeted by a large red grouper, the first inhabitant stocked and the unquestionable ruler of his 100,000-gallon realm. A walk across the moat reveals a crystal clear aquarium teaming with sharks, reef fish, tarpon, and large moray eels.

Biscayne Group designed and built the Moat to accommodate several external influences such as landscape debris, run-off soil, and rain.
