The Miami Metro Zoo - Amazon and Beyond project consists of 2 water features and 14 freshwater exhibits housing more than 600 animals representative of the region. This new addition features cutting edge exhibitry and technology to immerse visitors in the experience, all the while furthering the zoo's important conservation and educational work.

There main additions incorporated into the project are a 18,000 Gallon Orinoco Crocodile Pool, a 30,000 Gallon Giant River Otter Pool, a 1,800 Gallon Stingray touch tank, a 48,000 Aquarium housing Arawana, Pacu and Arapaima, and a 360,000 Gallon pond for local fowl.
