| The Wilderness Grill is one of Ogden Entertainment’s latest themed restaurants. The setting is the Australian Outback. To enter, visitors first walk over a small swamp-pond to a rustic deck. Inside the doorway, visitors are greeted by a 19’-long barrier reef aquarium which borders the bar area and leads you into the dining room. Here the roof opens as artificial trees and plants grow out of a series of five ponds up into the night sky. The pride of the restaurant is a 70’ long mangrove aquarium that runs the entire length of the dining room. The atmosphere of the outdoor experience is completed with a continuos light and sound show that incorporates a thunderstorm which actually rains into the ponds and aquarium.
Biscayne Group worked with the designers at The McBride Company to develop a natural and believable wilderness experience. Our biological background was utilized beyond the scope of the aquaria and ponds, in many of the wilderness details throughout the restaurant. |
